Databases

What is a database?

Database is a structured storage of customer information and other data used in scripts and campaigns.

Database types:

  • Customer databases — mandatory data for campaigns (phone numbers, customer names)
  • Information databases — additional data for detailing and analysis

Main Functions

  • Creating databases — "Create" button in the top panel
  • Editing — click on database row
  • Data upload — import CSV, Excel, TXT files
  • Search and filtering — by name, type, status
  • Bulk deletion — select multiple databases

Information in the table:

  • Name and description — database purpose
  • Type — customer or information
  • Status — current state
  • Number of records — data volume
  • Creation date — when it was created

Creating a Database

Step 1: Basic Information

  1. Click "Create" → select type (customer/information)
  2. Fill in name and purpose description
  3. Configure data field structure

Step 2: Data Upload

  1. Go to database "Files" section
  2. Prepare file: CSV, Excel or TXT (UTF-8 encoding)
  3. Click "Upload file" → select file
  4. Configure import parameters (separators, encoding)
  5. Run import

File Requirements:

  • Format: CSV, Excel (.xlsx, .xls), TXT
  • Encoding: UTF-8
  • Size: up to 100 MB
  • Structure: clear field separators, headers in first row

Data Management

Database Editing

  • Click on database row → editing
  • Change name, description, field structure
  • Add new fields and change data types

Data Viewing

  • "Data" section in editing interface
  • Search through data and apply filters
  • View records in convenient format

Database Types

Customer Databases

Purpose: mandatory data for campaigns (phone numbers, customer names) Required fields: phone number, customer name (recommended) Usage: subscriber group selection in campaigns, call personalization

Information Databases

Purpose: additional data for detailing and analysis Features: not mandatory for campaign launch, can contain any data Usage: additional information in scripts, analysis and segmentation

Format Examples

CSV format:

Name,Phone,Email,City
John Smith,+1(555)123-45-67,john@example.com,New York
Jane Doe,+1(555)765-43-21,jane@example.com,Los Angeles

Excel format: first row — headers, each row — data of one customer

Troubleshooting

File Won't Upload

Reasons: incorrect format, unsupported encoding, too large size, incorrect structure Solution: check format (CSV, Excel), ensure UTF-8 encoding, check size (up to 100 MB)

Data Not Displaying

Check: file upload correctness, separator correctness, file encoding, data structure

Merging Databases

Methods: export data from multiple databases, merge in Excel, upload merged file to new database

Tips

Data Organization

  • Use clear names and descriptions
  • Group by types (customer/information)
  • Maintain versioning and save backup copies

Data Quality

  • Check data before upload
  • Use phone number validation
  • Clean duplicates and update information

Work Optimization

  • Plan field structure in advance
  • Use standard structure templates
  • Analyze database usage effectiveness in statistics
  • Campaigns — using databases in campaigns
  • Scripts — using data in interaction logic
  • Statistics — analyzing data usage effectiveness
